Upon Taking over the reins at Grandpa’s Toys. Amanda (the shop owner) understood just how important this little toy store was to her local community. In fact she too was an avid supporter even before she took over the store.
Grandpa’s Toys is well known throughout the community of Geraldine, and now the quaint little toy store is still quaint with a few upgrades to compete with the Big Boys.
We do not want to be plonked in the same category as the large multinational companies or department stores. We are proud to be independent as Independent toy shops are unique in more ways than one.

We love that we can offer our customers service that you can only get at an independent toy shop. We like to think we really know our customers - especially at our shop in Geraldine. Having three boys myself, many of the children and parents that come into the shop have grown up alongside my children. As Geraldine is still a village, we have a fantastic and supportive, loyal customer base that spread wide through our farming communities.
Breaking into the world of online shopping, we have also discovered many loyal customers to our brand. We put this down to fantastic product selections, gift wrapping service, affordable pricing and of course the main one - fast and efficient delivery of product.
Our turnaround time from placing an order to when the order is shipped is taken with immediate effect. We understand the value in shipping order immediately, not only does the customer receive their orders quickly, it also frees up space in my stock room!

At times, my customers are at a loss when it comes to buying for other people's children or even grandchildren. This is due the customer not knowing what a 9 year old girl would really enjoy? Or perhaps the gift giver wants to buy a gift that the whole family can play with?
It's clear to me that some people find it a bit tricky getting to think what a 9 year old girl would really like for his birthday. My customers want their present to bring joy to the gift recipient - and that's just a lovely thing to want for a child.
As I live and breathe toys. I have an educated understanding of all the toys in my shop. I have purchased them myself based on different ages, genders and trends.
I have in-depth knowledge of all my stock. I know what toys kids love, mainly because when children are in my shop they soon tell me!
